Credentialing Process
If you're new or seeking more information about Early Intervention Credentialing, you're in the right place. Here's how to begin:
Register with IMPACT: Start by signing up for the Illinois Medicaid Program Advanced Cloud Technology (IMPACT). If you find this process challenging, don't hesitate to reach out for assistance.
Submit Your Application Early: Once you receive your IMPACT application number and your status changes to “In Review,” promptly submit your application to Provider Connections. There's no need to wait for approval.
Application Corrections: Mistakes happen, and if your application is incomplete or incorrect, Provider Connections will guide you through the correction process. So, no worries!
Document Verification: After mailing your documents (remember, original signatures required), follow up with Provider Connections within a week to confirm everything is in order.
Credential Training
Complete Two Essential Trainings:
Finish Your Online Training: Complete the online training a few days before your in-person session and bring the certificate with you.
Fingerprinting Process: Once approved, Provider Connections will email you instructions for fingerprinting/biometrics. Expedite this step as your background check is the lengthiest part of the process.
Submit Your EI Biometrics Form: Send the completed form to Provider Connections via email or fax.
Congratulations! After these steps, you're all set. Remember to keep up with licensing and credentialing updates.
